What is The Shrinkage Rate of TPU Film?

The shrinkage rate of TPU film refers to the percentage change in the size during the heating and stretching process. Shrinkage is an important performance indicator, which can affect the use effect and processing difficulty of the TPU film material.

The shrinkage rate of TPU ranges from 1% to 50%, depending on factors such as the type of TPU plastic material, molecular structure and processing conditions. Below are some common shrinkage ranges for different TPU material type.

  * The shrinkage rate of TPU film is 1% to 3%.

  *The shrinkage rate of TPU particles is 2% to 5%.

  * The shrinkage rate of TPU injection molded parts, which depends on different product designs and process, is between 5% and 30%.

The common hardness range of TPU is 60-85D (1D is approximately equal to 2A). The lower the hardness of the TPU film, the softer of the texture,  the higher of TPU film shrinkage rate.
