The Differences of LDPE Plastic and HDPE Plastic

2023-08-10

Both LDPE and HDPE are two types of polyethylene (PE), which have similar chemical structure. However, LDPE plastic and HDPE plastic have some differences in characteristics.

LDPE and HDPE are two commonly used polyethylene plastics type, whose difference characteristics are as follows.

Difference

1.    Density: The density of HDPE plastic 0.94g/cm³ is higher than that of LDPE plastic 0.92g/cm³.

2.   Hardness: The hardness of HDPE is higher than LDPE, thus HDPE products are more scratch-resistant and no easy deformed.

3.   Strength: HDPE material is stronger and more wear-resistant than LDPE material.

4.   Temperature resistance: HDPE plastic is resistant to high temperature , but LDPE plastic no.

LDPE plastic and HDPE are both excellent PE plastic material, which are popular in different application in life and industry.
