The Usage of PVC Material

PVC film, the main material is polyvinyl chloride, colorful, anti-corrosion and durable. To strengthen the toughness and the ductility, it is necessary to add some plasticizer, so it is not used for the storage of food and drugs. PVC film is one of the most popular synthetic materials in the world. The global consumption is the No.2 in all kinds of the synthetic materials. Statically, in 1995 year, the PVC production volume capacity in Europe is about 5 million tons, but the consumption is about 5.3 million tons. In Germany, the average of the PVC production output and consumption is about 1.4 million tons. 

The production capacity and usage of the PVC film is growing up about 4% annually in worldwide, especially in Southeast Asia, which countries are in urgent demands for the infrastructure construction. PVC film is also the best material for the production of 3D surface film. Rigid PVC film is widely used for the plastics. 

To keep the excellent performance of the inflammability, high tensility, endurability to climate, aging and chemical, well stability, it is necessary to add some additives like stabilizer, lubricant, auxiliary process agent, color pigment, impact modifier etc. PVC is well resistant to oxidant, reductant, and strong acids. 

The melting temperature is important for the PVC film production, inappropriate temperature will lead to the decomposition. PVC is poor of the flow property, we use the lubricant to improve the flow property. And low shrinkage of the PVC, about 0.2~0.6%.
